The GEO Group UK Ltd and Innovo (CLM) CIC have today announced that they are to form a Joint Venture to bid for the Ministry of Justice's Transforming Rehabilitation competition in Cumbria, Lancashire and Merseyside.

Phil Watkins, GEO UK's Managing Director said:

"We are delighted to be announcing our relationship with Innovo today. Innovo is the third staff mutual organisation that GEO has partnered with in the MoJ's Transforming Rehabilitation, following Delta Rehabilitation (North Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire) and Mercia Community Action / Willowdene Farm (West Mercia and Warwickshire).

We share joint values and a vision for transforming the lives of offenders, reducing re-offending and keeping the public safe. Together we have offered the Ministry of Justice an innovative and strong proposition."

The GEO Group UK Ltd is bidding for a number of contracts with the Ministry of Justice's Transforming Rehabilitation competition to manage new Community Rehabilitation Companies.

We are interested to receive proposals from private and 3rd sector organisations who have expertise in supporting offenders to address their underlying offending behaviours, to turn their lives around and make a positive contribution to society.

In particular, we are interested in hearing from organisations who provide the following services:

- Drugs and alcohol rehabilitation
- Education and training
- Entry to employment
- Health services, including mental illness
- Restorative Justice
- Accommodation and housing
- Relationships
- Enhanced thinking skills
- Finance and debt

The GEO Group UK Ltd, West Mercia Community Action (MCA) and Willowdene Rehabilitation have today announced that they are to form a partnership to bid for the Ministry of Justice's Transforming Rehabilitation competition in the West Mercia and Warwickshire region.


Phil Watkins, GEO UK's Managing Director said:

The GEO Group UK Ltd and Delta Rehabilitation Ltd have today announced that they are to form a Joint Venture as a potential bidder for the Ministry of Justice's Transforming Rehabilitation competition in the York and North Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire region.

Phil Watkins, GEO UK's Managing Director said:

Richard Barker, Delta's Chairman, said:

Project Director Martin Gore paid tribute to the Staff Council and the Project Team for building the successful proposition so quickly:

"We have moved from the initial concept of a mutual in July to a fully developed Project Team and elected Staff Council with supporting Business Plans in four months. In addition, I would like to acknowledge the contribution and support of Cabinet Office Ambassadors and our local partners. Our bid will emphasise local provision, utlising the skills and knowledge of our staff and partners, together with those of the GEO Group, a major international company".

2.Delta Rehabilitation Limited (trading as Delta), is an newly formed not-for- profit staff mutual comprising the staff groups of the current York and North Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire Probation Trusts. It was formed following a ballot of all staff in the Trusts concerned, with over 80% supporting the concept in principle. A fifteen member Staff Council was then elected by the staff to represent their interests and the Staff Council voted unanimously in favour of the Joint Venture with GEO.
